Mark and Audrey's Cumberland Island Wedding, Full of Amazing Details!

"We live in San Francisco, CA and had a destination wedding on Cumberland Island, GA. For much of the run up to the wedding we were traveling abroad and had to do most of the planning by email. Ron and his team made the process so easy for us - it was extremely easy to communicate with him. He was responsive, flexible, very friendly, very easy to work with and extremely professional. He also set up a great
personalized web portal for us that was really useful - everything from an overview of the event, the ability to view and edit important details about the wedding, a history of our correspondence with him, and access to our contract and invoices.

At the actual wedding events, Ron and his team were outstanding. He arrived several hours early and spent time studying the place and lighting for ideal locations. When it was time for our pictures, he knew exactly what he wanted and where he wanted to shoot - and he moved fast yet effectively so we could quickly return to our guests. His pictures are absolutely fabulous - they speak for themselves. But he was also so friendly and engaging that he became part of the wedding and many of our guests commented on how amazing he was. We cannot recommend him highly enough".

Cumberland Island was the 19th century retreat of Thomas and Lucy Carnegie who, in 1900, built Greyfield for their daughter, Margaret Ricketson. Converted to an inn during 1962 by her daughter, Lucy R. The sight of the beautiful red sun setting over the marshes of Cumberland is one which draws visitors continually back to the Island. If possible, spend a night on Cumberland in order to see it. The marshes are very fertile areas of the ecosystem where much of the beginning of the food chain hatch. Georgia, and especially Cumberland, is blessed with thousands of acres of marshland teeming with wildlife, from tiny organisms to shrimp and fish, and even alligators.
